Guess what…I’m another year older on Tuesday. I’m not exactly happy about that…but I’m only 28 and I believe in eating right, exercise, and botox so I’m not too concerned.
To celebrate, I reserved the wine cellar at Phillipe, one of my favorite restaurants uptown, so friends could pop in and catch up over a cocktail, or two.
Adrien was sweet enough to host my little soiree.
I’m not one to dote on babies, but I couldn’t help myself when I saw G’s Baby Girl bump. I was truly overwhelmed with excitement because Charlotte is coming so soon. I told G she could call me anytime to stay with her if they needed a little vacay. BTW, G has become quite the “mommy blogger” if you are looking for info on maternity clothes, strollers, etc.
Snapshots were not the priority when the chicken satay arrived so I missed pics with a few of my favorite people.

I can’t believe I was in NYC for 24 hours and hadn’t laid eyes on one of my best friends!! So I suprised her at work after my breakfast meeting for a big hug and kissey picture (of course!)
Sarah (aka Mascarah on Tumblr ) is one of the most unbelievable women I know. Intelligent and strong while also gregarious and sensitive, she has such a interesting perspective on people and life. We talk for hours and party like rockstars.
And….she’s an amazing cook!!

Leslie took it today on the beach with her iPhone (if you can believe it) and then did a little magic with 2 apps – TiltShiftGen and Best Camera.
But she says, “you have to have an eye for lighting. And of course natural talent.” Obviously it’s true, the woman has a gift! This is one of many masterpieces from the past few days. She could give Annie Leibovitz a run for her money!
Seriously though, check out the apps. I’m downloading them now.
A lot of fedora and even more Facebook. She’s been posting about our morning workouts which she so lovingly calls Camp Mary. We start at 7am with a 2 or 3 mile run and then hit the gym. Today she finally felt the endorphin high and can’t wait for tomorrow’s challenge. I’m loving having a partner (aka someone who listens to my instruction and attacks each exercise with
enthusiasm.) It’s the least I can do for all of the career guidance and advice she gives me daily. I’m constantly in awe of her strength and accomplishments. Not to mention she’s too much fun!
