Living La Vida Fresca!
One thing I love about Mexico is that everything is so fresh. And yes, it’s safe to eat.
Every morning after the gym I get a spinach, carrot, and orange juice at a diner for 50 pesos, that’s less than $4!
The little roadside stand (my juice drive through) sells a variety of fresh squeezed juices for 14 pesos (a little over a dollar). This tazita de jugo de naranja (little cup of orange juice) would be at least $4 in LA or NYC.

Last night’s ensalada: lechuga, pimiento, pepino, aguacate, y pollo. (Translation: lettuce, red peppers, cumcumber, avocado, and chicken. Thought I might help you buff up on your Spanish for when you come visit!)
I wash the lettuce with a solution to clean it, but otherwise everything is safe to eat.
We don’t eat shrimp tacos for every meal. (Although the fish is caught daily at our favorite local restaurants.)
