Meet me, I’m Mary Rambin, President and Designer of Moe Bags. I’m starting this blog to share my views on fashion, how to make it wearable, how to change it up, and what it means to follow the trends but make it your own. The tenet of my company is Effortless Style, and that is how I live.

As promised to my dear friend Julia Allison (for great relationship/life introspection see juliaallison.tumblr.com) who swears I always look put together, I will post daily outfits for you to admire and laugh at (we all wear sweats, and it never really looks good).

I lived in Los Angeles for 6 years, but now as a New Yorker, I’ll be bundled up for the next couple of months. Hence first tip, your coat must make a statement. Forget the oversized down comforter you’ve been schlepping around in, layer up for warmth under a coat with a little character.

My favorite coat this season is a Mackage. www.Mackage.com The silhouettes are classic, but they incorporate large collars, off-centered buttons, and different materials (wool jacket with leather accents) that all combine to make a statement and be warm and comfortable at the same time. (don’t judge the product by the models, she’s a little funky for me too!)

I hope you find some inspiration here. I’m not saying you won’t have to make an effort to incorporate new things into your wardrobe, but in no time, your style too will be effortless.
