Loving This Kodak Printer

Kodak ESP 5250 Series All-in-One Wireless Printer ($169)

I’ve always dreamed of having a wireless printer….a wireless everything actually.  (I hate clutter) Yesterday, I became one step closer to fulfilling that dream when this baby showed up on my doorstep!

Kodak sent over their new printer to get my take on it’s many features.  After only a day I can tell you what I love:

  • Wifi connection
  • 2 sets of ink cartridges
  • Ink refills are cheaper than my old HP
  • Scanner and copier (later Kinkos)

For me, it’s free, which is nice. In terms of the market, it’s the same price as its competitors (HP and Canon).  The range is $130-$185. I remember when these things used to cost at least $400! My HP All-in-One was over $500, but it had a fax.

The price for the printers are the same, but your savings comes from Kodak when you have to buy ink.  Theirs is remarkably cheaper.  The black cartridge is $9.99 and the color is $14.99.  Buy both for $22.99.  (In comparison, HP’s can run in the $30’s!)

Leven is ecstatic because she can now print out her sides for auditions.  I’m printing postage instead of standing in line at the post office.  As for the photo quality, I haven’t printed anything out yet, but I’ll let you know soon.

If you don’t mind the wires, you can buy the same printer for $129.
